By clicking ‘accept’, you are entering into a legal agreement with DESIGNER ROOM and bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to all of the terms, then you must immediately stop using the Site.

We reserve the right to change the terms of this agreement in the future and any changes will apply to the hire/purchase of any product from that date forward.



The site and its contents are the exclusive property of DESIGNER ROOM. At first, you will not need to register to navigate this website. However, to use the DESIGNER ROOM services, you will be required to provide your personal details. In particular, you must provide your real name, phone number, e-mail address and other requested information as indicated. Furthermore, you will be required to provide payment details that you represent and warrant are both valid and correct and you confirm that you are the person referred to in the Billing information provided.

PLEASE NOTE that if you do not respect the Terms of Use of the site, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account.

DESIGNER ROOM reserves the right to, without previous notice, suspend or discontinue the site for maintenance, repair, alteration or modernization operations, at any time.

DESIGNER ROOM is not responsible for damages or losses that may result from, the use of the site, such as problems with the electronic systems, computer or telecommunications.

You agree not to use or exploit the site for commercial or promotional purposes, in any way, except when authorized by DESIGNER ROOM. Customers cannot provide any content that promote services, offering money or any other type of compensation, by placing links of its pages to DESIGNER ROOM services and site.

DESIGNER ROOM may use your information for marketing services, which you can opt out anytime by emailing info@designerroom.ie.



In order to hire/purchase on the Site the customer must be:

(a) Legally capable of entering into binding contracts;

(b) At least eighteen (18) years old.




DESIGNER ROOM is a designer clothing hire platform.

DESIGNER ROOM’s hire service is limited to a maximum of one (1) dress style per order.

The hired product is made available for a period of FOUR (4) days. If the hire time period is exceeded, the customer will be subject to penalties.



In case you fail to return the products on time, you shall immediately inform DESIGNER ROOM via email. In the event that this occurs, you are liable to pay the following penalties:

(i) For every day your return is late you will be charged a late fee of €10 per day

(ii) If after the five (5) first days of the established return date the products have not been returned, DESIGNER ROOM will be required to institute collection procedures and you will be responsible for all legal costs arising from same. Subsequently, you will be required to pay the full retail price of all products ordered

(iii) If the products are not returned on time on the settled date, your account may be suspended or canceled

(iv) If the products are returned with irreversible damage, you will have to pay the products full retail price – this will be treated on a case by case basis



Access the customer registration page and provide only true, accurate, complete and updated information. You must enter your email address or contact telephone number. You can change the data in your account, at any time.

You assume sole and exclusive responsibility for the confidentiality and security of your account information, especially your password.



All orders are subject to availability. In the event there is difficulty in supplying the particular chosen product, DESIGNER ROOM reserves the right to inform you of products with a similar style, quality and price. In that event you will simply need to confirm the new order. In the event we are unable to complete your order by virtue of a difficulty in supplying the particular product you will receive a full refund.

The DESIGNER ROOM product catalogue is liable to change at any time. The characteristics of the products are as described at the time of the hire. All images found on the site are illustrative. Descriptions of the products do not assure conformity or suitability of a product for an exact purpose.

The products listed in the catalogue are available for delivery to Ireland and most European Countries.

The product pricing is as displayed at the time of the hire. The final price may vary according to the country of delivery, shipping costs and legal taxes.

PLEASE NOTE – The dress remains the property of Designer Room at all times.



To proceed with any order you must complete the online or booking form and follow the hire process available on the page.

After you place the order, you will receive a confirmation email. However, this may not mean your order is accepted. Only the second email, with expected date of dispatch, product description and payment details, will ultimately confirm the order.

Each customer cannot make a new order, until the previous order has been returned. The customer cannot make alterations to the products, or he/ she will have to pay the retail price of the altered product.

It is recommended that orders be placed at least four weeks in advance, to ensure the availability of the chosen dress at the desired date.

You can order up to 8 months prior to delivery date.



Promotional codes can only be used at specific periods and generally have a start and expire date.



The hire agreement between DESIGNER ROOM and the customer will only be formed when the customer receives the order confirmation email, whether or not DESIGNER ROOM has already received the payment. If DESIGNER ROOM is unable to process the order and a payment has already been made or received the DESIGNER ROOM will issue a full refund and notify the customer.



The order can be cancelled up to SEVEN (7) working days before the date of delivery indicated in the order confirmation email. The full value of the order will be credited to the original payment method.

If the order cancellation is made within less than seven (7) days before the date of delivery, indicated in the order confirmation email, you will be refunded 50% of the orders value.

The remaining 50% will be credit to your DESIGNER ROOM account, for future hires.



Prices (with VAT) are per unit and may vary depending on the type, model and label. The price of the required product can be seen on the dress detail page. DESIGNER ROOM may change prices with no impact on confirmed orders.



(i) All returns will be held responsible by the customers or by a courier of their choice. DESIGNER ROOM will send a reminder email the day before your scheduled return date.

(ii) You are responsible for loss, destruction or damage to the products, such as theft, fire, major stains which would be considered as follows:

  • Pulls and tears
  • High heels going through the dress
  • Wine stains depending on colour as product may fade when cleaning it
  • Hand bags with sequins can pull fabric so wear with caution
  • Tan in some cases can leave marks on light colour dresses
  • Butter/grease or any other cause that will destroy the product

Minor damages will be included in dry cleaning which would be considered as the following:

  • Make up
  • Hem down
  • Seams
  • Water and any other spills that are dry cleanable, which will be accessed by Designer Room’s dry cleaning company

(iii) Please understand that if the product is returned with any kind of these irreversible damages, you must pay the full retail price according to our price list.

(iv) Under no circumstances are customers to attempt to clean any products themselves.

(v) The product must be placed back within the packaging received. Complete the enclosed form guaranteeing the product is being returned in the same condition and return the product in its original packaging.

(vi) See Term (2) PENALTIES for any late returns charges.

I agree that if any part of the product is damaged, I will be fully responsible for the cost of repair of same (this will be done by DESIGNER ROOM) and I could be liable for any or all costs in connection with either the repair or replacement of the item and that this will be charged to my credit card. You will be given an option to keep the product once full retail cost is paid.



In conformity with the obligations under these Hire Conditions and as guarantee, DESIGNER ROOM will be authorized to charge your credit card €50 acting as a deposit. This will be fully refundable on return of the dress in accordance to Term (10) RETURNS above.



The order will only be charged when you make your order. The invoice will be emailed during the dispatch of the order.

DESIGNER ROOM will verify the address and credibility of the order.



After payment confirmation and availability of the required dress, the dispatch of the order will be solely responsible of the customer.All collections and returns must be arranged by the customer.Any couriers schedules must be arranged by the customer if the they can’t pick up or drop back in person to Designer Room.
Designer Room will send a reminder prior to collection date and another reminder email of scheduled return date.


You assume sole and exclusive responsibility for the content you make available through the site by submitting reviews and posting pictures of your hired product. By agreeing to these terms, you agree to give DESIGNER ROOM the right to use your content in any part or area of the site or any other space managed by DESIGNER ROOM, including promotional and advertising campaigns. DESIGNER ROOM has the right to delete customer content at any stage on the site.



This marketplace agreement constitutes a legal agreement entered into between you as Participant and Designer Room, and shall apply to all items (meaning any dresses), placed by you in the Designer Room marketplace.

I. MARKETPLACE — Designer Room Marketplace is a service offered by Designer Room that allows you to sell your items via DesignerRoom.ie.

II. REVENUE SHARING — All revenues generated with respect to items that you provide to the Designer Room Marketplace will be split as follows:

Price of Item       Commission to Designer Room 

€0 -€80             Flat rate of €15 to Designer Room

€80 +                20% (twenty percent) to Designer Room and 80% (eighty percent) to you (final sold price)

Expenses such as postage will be added to the sale price and the buyer will incur this expense.

Once the item is delivered to the buyer and the return date policy expires, revenue will be transferred directly into your account.

III. TERM — This agreement is concluded for an indefinite term, and may be terminated by either party by providing at least 3 (three) months’ prior written notice to the other party.


  • Designer Room takes no responsibility for third party misplace or losing sellers items.
  • Seller is over the age of 18.
  • Seller agrees that all items belong to him/her.
  • If seller is not the owner of said pieces the seller has been authorised by the owner of the items to sell said items, and will indemnify and hold Designer Room harmless from and against any claim arising from the sale of said items
  • Seller agrees that all information written on consignment contract is accurate and correct.
  • Seller acknowledges that Designer Room may ask for proof of identification in forms such as passport or driving licence before agreeing to sell any items.
  • Seller agrees that all items are all genuine items and not bought illegally or off a counterfeit site or seller.


You may cancel or amend the contract with DESIGNER ROOM within a maximum of seven (7) days after receiving the product by writing an email to info@designerroom.ie. To accelerate the return process, you must email info@designerroom.ie, indicating the data and products on the order and the reason for the return. 

This refers to:

– The time from which the products ordered are delivered;

– The time at which the products ordered are picked up;

– The date the products are not delivered by reasons attributed to the client, without added shipping costs.

When the product is returned you will receive a full refund or a new model delivered (within the first fifteen (15) hours of the delivery day, DESIGNER ROOM will send you the new style. In this case, you will have to pay extra shipping costs. This will be considered a new contract.



VI. MARKETPLACE TERMS AND CONDITIONS — By entering into this agreement, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions, and agree to be bound by them.
